Today we have released the next version of openITCOCKPIT 4.3.1.
openITCOCKPIT 4.3.1 is a minor release with contains bug fixes for several issues.
We added a calendar widget to the dashboards. To improve the system performance, we disabled the Docker Proxy by default #1186 and also fixed a issue with slow Naemon start-ups.
Today we have released the next version of openITCOCKPIT 4.3.0.
openITCOCKPIT 4.3.0 is packed with new features and bug fixes. We added an i-doit importer to the ImportModule, upgraded Checkmk to version 2 and added support for Debian 11 Bullseye.

Today we have released the next version of openITCOCKPIT 4.2.2.
Most of the changes included in openITCOCKPIT 4.2.2 are quality of life improvements and minor bug fixes. We added a Copy to Clipboard button next to the check command line. With the new system setting BLUR_COMMAND_LINE_IN_BROWSER
the check command line will be blurry by default. The idea behind this is to avoid leaking sensitive information on an active screen sharing sessions for example.
When creating new hosts and services, openITCOCKPIT will display a warning message if a host with the same name already exists. This check is bound to the user permissions. Host and services names don’t need to be unique.
The SNMP discovery through Checkmk will now only display new services, that are not already monitored by the system. In addition a bug was fixed so it is possible to mix SNMP monitoring and monitoring via the Checkmk agent on the same host again.
For almost 9 years openITCOCKPIT used the freenode IRC network to communicate with the open source community. After some suspicious incidents, we decided to migrate our community IRC channel to the Libera Chat IRC network.
Our IRC channel and the #general channel of our Discord server are bridged together. It’s up to you what protocol you are going to use to join the openITCOCKPIT community. 🙂
Today we have released the next version of openITCOCKPIT 4.2.
The openITCOCKPIT Monitoring Agent is one of the major features of openITCOCKPIT 4. For this reason, we decided to rewrite the Agent from scratch to improve the stability and to be ready for the future.
Unfortunately, the new openITCOCKPIT Monitoring Agent has some breaking changes and openITCOCKPIT is not backwards compatible to the old monitoring Agent.
