πŸŽ‰ It’s time to celebrate! openITCOCKPIT 5.1.1 is out now. πŸŽ‰

We are delighted to announce the release of openITCOCKPIT 5.1.1, which brings with it some ingenious new features. πŸš€
This release comes packed with fresh new features: Out of the box Proxmox monitoring, an emergency dashboard and many other improvements. ✨

Out of the box monitoring: New Proxmox wizard

Some of you are probably struggling with the price increases imposed by Broadcom on VMWare and are looking for alternatives. Proxmox is a great alternative, and to ensure that you don’t have to worry about monitoring, we have built a wizard with best practices into openITCOCKPIT.

For best practice monitoring

openITCOCKPIT 5.1.1 is only the first step towards making monitoring more powerful, intuitive, and ready for whatever your infrastructure needs. πŸ’‘

Emergency Dashboard

For all those who are already fans of status pages, the Emergency Dashboard is a great new addition. Based on the status pages, the Emergency Dashboard allows all pages to be brought together in one central location.
In addition to general information about the dashboard, the first step is to create a freely definable 2-dimensional matrix containing, for example, the location and device group.

In the next step, the corresponding status pages can then be assigned to this matrix.

And that's it! It's that easy to set up a complete emergency dashboard in openITCOCKPIT that visualises all relevant services at a glance.

Viewed from top to bottom, the results are displayed in increasingly fine detail. In the first section, the overall status of the infrastructure is immediately apparent. In the second section, you can then see which components have a problem at which location, for example. When aggregating the status, the worst status is always assumed. In section 3, you can then see the detailed information that provides the status for each status page and a jump point to the respective status page to obtain even more in-depth information.
