π Check out the outstanding 4.8.3 release with incredible new modules. Service Capacity Management module and Top Alerts module. π
Service capacity management enables providers to communicate the status of their resources (e.g. IT services) at a specified time in order to better channel potential bottlenecks. A cron job is used to determine whether all providers have set their status. If this has not happened, the missing providers are informed that the status is missing.
If there is no reaction here either, an escalation takes place and the provider is informed by e-mail.
Users can view the status of all reported information clearly in the openITCOCKPIT frontend. As usual, the module can also be integrated as a widget in the openITCOCKPIT dashboard.
And for all those who use the Mobile Server there is also reason to celebrate, because the feature is also available via this.
In the Top Alerts module, notifications from the last 24 hours are displayed along with their respective status. A widget will only appear if there were notifications during this period. The widget contains a scrollable list, showing up to 25 entries. The entries are sorted by the number of notifications and the most recent (current) notification date. The number refers to the number of notifications for a particular host or service, not the number of notified contacts.
And for all those who use the Mobile Server there is also reason to celebrate, because the feature is also available via this.
A bug has been fixed in host and service escalations. When a host or service group is used with templates, inheritance now works as expected.
